Hello! I am Joe Lark, the creator of Forest Hunters! In order to get me to this point in the development of the game, I took four years of graphic design courses throughout high school and taught myself how to use design programs such as ProCreate in order to create my artwork.

Tome of the Forest
2022 – One of the first card artworks I produced on ProCreate
The Grove
2022 – This piece is the complete artwork of the ‘Grove’ archetype, it was made in two parts, with the background being created first and then the characters being made last.
Twins
2022 – This card was created with inspiration from the card ‘Scavenger – Cove’ and the ‘Zombie’ archetype.
Soul Taker
2022 – Taking inspiration from the earlier card artwork ‘Antiestablishmentarianism,’ this iteration of the Soul Taker was made to present his grim and evil aspect as a character in the lore.
Disaster
2022 – Created with the intention of becoming a card, it never used for one.
Voodoo Master
2023 – One of the first artworks I created in 2023 with the intention of being a new card introduced in chapter 5 of the lore.
Self Portrait
2023 – A self portrait created after being struck with inspiration.
Trench Coat Design
2022 – A sketch of a design I eventually embroidered onto a trench coat.
Posters and Projects
Throughout my time in high school, I made many posters and projects in my graphic design classes that were used by the school for their various productions and performing arts shows.
Kaleidoscope 2020
2020 – This design was created as a poster scheme for the yearly production ‘Kaleidoscope’ that was put on at my high school.
2020-21 Yearbook
2021 – This yearbook design was created with the theme ‘Seasons of Change’ and was later used for that year’s yearbook.
West Coast Road Trip Dance Production
2022 – This poster was made for a Junior High Dance show that was used to promote the show.
The Graffiti Project Production
2022 – This poster was made for a high school hip-hop dance production.
Limitless Broadway Dance Production
2022 – This poster was made for a high school dance production of Broadway musicals.
Kaleidoscope 2022
2022 – This poster was created for the 2022 production of Kaleidoscope, based off of Art Nouveau posters, and was given the Director’s Award at the Focus Art Show.
Senior Showcase 2022
2022 – This poster was created for a senior-ran production at my high school, showing off the senior’s artwork and performing arts.
Logos and Promotional Designs
Kaleidoscope 2021 Logo
2021 – Rather than creating a physical poster, this year the production of ‘Kaleidoscope’ was published online. I created this design and animated using Adobe Premier Pro for transitions on the online performance.
H.I.S. Dental Logo
2021 – In my graphic design class we would occasionally have outside parties come in and ask our class to create logos for them. This design was one of those outside projects.
Peace Logos
2022 – These logos were create as a project in an unpaid internship at a graphic design firm during my senior year of high school.
TSA Holiday Card
2021 – This design was created and used for my high school’s holiday card that they sent out to donors to the charter school.
